Pantover 40 IV Injection: Each vial contains sterile Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate BP equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg.
Indications

Pantover injections are used for:

  • Treating mild forms of oesophageal disease caused by reflux of acid from the stomach (with or without mild inflammation of the oesophagus) and the associated symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation, pain on swallowing).
  • Long-term management of reflux oesophagitis (inflammation of the oesophagus accompanied by the regurgitation of stomach acid) and preventing its return.
  • Preventing duodenal and stomach ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, for example, ibuprofen) in patients at risk who need to take NSAIDs continuously.
Dosage & Administration
  • Duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer: 40 mg once daily for 7-10 days.
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease associated with a history of erosive esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 7-10 days.
  • Prevention of re-bleeding in peptic ulcer: IV 80 mg, followed by 8 mg/hour infusion for 72 hours.
  • Prophylaxis of acid aspiration: 80 mg IV every 12 h for 24 h, followed by 40mg every 12 hours.
  • Long-term management of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions: 80 mg IV every 12 hours, may increase to 80 mg every 8 hours if needed, may titrate to higher doses depending on acid output.

Pantover 40 IV Injection: Each combipack contains 1vial of sterile Pantoprazole Sodium BP equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg and 1 ampoule of 10 ml Water for Injection BP.
