Pantover 20 Tablet: Each enteric coated tablet contains Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate USP equivalent to Pantoprazole 20 mg.
Indications

Pantover tablets are used for:

  • Treating mild forms of esophageal disease caused by reflux of acid from the stomach (with or without mild inflammation of the esophagus) and the associated symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation, pain on swallowing).
  • Long-term management of reflux esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus accompanied by the regurgitation of stomach acid) and preventing its return.
  • Preventing duodenal and stomach ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, for example, ibuprofen) in patients at risk who need to take NSAIDs continuously.
Dosage & Administration

Benign gastric ulcer: 40 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks, continued for further 4 weeks if not fully healed.

Duodenal ulcer: 40 mg daily in the morning for 2 weeks, continued for further 2 weeks if not fully healed.

GERD: 20-40 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks, continued for further 4 weeks if not fully healed.

NSAIDs induced peptic ulcer: 20 mg daily.

Acid hyper-secretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Initially 80 mg once daily adjusted according to response (Elderly-maximum 40 mg daily), daily doses above 80 mg given in two divided doses.

Eradication of Helicobacter pylori: 40 mg twice daily by triple therapy with antibiotics.

Ulcer resistant to H2 receptor antagonists: 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, increased to 40 mg daily if symptoms return.
