Presentation
Veritrizin 10 Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Cetirizine Dihydrochloride BP 10 mg.
Indications
Veritrizin is indicated in:
- Allergic rhinitis, for relief from nasal congestion, sneezing, rhinorrhoea, ocular symptoms like redness lacrimation and itching.
- Allergic dermatological conditions like urticaria, dermographism, atopic eczema and contact dermatitis.
- Acute allergic reactions due to drugs, foods, insect bites, etc.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children 6 years and over: 10 mg once daily (1 tablet).
Children 2-6 years: 5 mg once daily (1/2 tablet).
The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg (2 tablets) daily. Cetirizine is safe for use in the elderly patients. Less frequent dosing is advised in patients with reduced creatinine clearance. It is advisable to take the drug with a little liquid during the evening meal since the symptoms for which the product is given usually appear during the night.
